Christmas at Fanshawe Pioneer Village

FPV Christmas 2006 066nn

Fanshawe Pioneer Village has two great holiday events happening for Christmas this year!

Fanshawe Pioneer Village is located at 2609 Fanshawe Park Road East in London.

Dickens’ Dinner

Sit down for a traditional 19th century Christmas dinner featuring local roast goose, root vegetables, tomato bisque soup, cabbage salad, pickles, and either mincemeat pie or plum pudding for dessert. Dinner is followed by a performance of an Upper Canadian adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Christmas Carol.

Tickets are $50 each and advanced booking is required. The dinner and performance will be taking place Friday, December 5, Saturday, December 6, Friday, December 12 and Saturday, December 13. See HERE for tickets.

A Visit with St. Nicholas

St. Nicholas is coming to Fanshawe Pioneer Village and he’s bringing lots of holiday fun with him! Sit down for a delicious pancake breakfast with a gingerbread man to decorate for dessert. After you’ve filled up, take a horse-drawn wagon ride around the village to see how they have prepared for Christmas. The best is yet to come though, because the big man himself will stop by to say hello and spend some time with each of the kids.

Breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, Sunday, December 7, Saturday, December 13, and Sunday, December 14 at 9:30am, 11:00am, and 1:00pm. Tickets are $12/per person and must be booked ahead of time. For tickets, go HERE.

Trying to find some reviews of the Dickens event here. I haven’t seen anything online (found one poor review for the thanksgiving dinner). Have you been? Was it any good? Was it worth the price?

    Thanks.
