Happening in London This Weekend

Be sure to check out our events page to see all the awesome events that are taking place throughout London this weekend! Of note are two pretty big events being held. These are sure to be a palate pleaser as both the International Food Festival and the Beer and BBQ Show are taking place. Both events will run Friday through Sunday. For a complete schedule of the events, visit our events page and for more information click on the links below. No matter which event you choose to attend, you’re sure to walk away with a full stomach and satisfied appetite!

London International Food Festival

The International Food Festival is being held in Victoria Park. This festival will feature over 55 vendors showcasing foods from around the world. You can try these foods in sample or full meal size. Mexican, Serbian, Polish, Greek – whatever dish you’re craving, you’re sure to find it in Victoria Park this weekend. Wash down your meal with beer, wine or coolers from the beer garden that will be onsite. The festival will also feature games, activities, and rides for kids. Children can get on rides with the purchase of a wrist band and parents can ride with kids for free! This festival should definitely be a good time for the whole family. Beer and BBQ Show

The Beer and BBQ Show is being held at the Western Fair District. This event differs from the Food Festival in that it is only for adults aged 19 and older. This event will feature over 50 fine-craft breweries and the barbeque of multiple grill masters from the local area. Just like the Food Festival, the Beer and BBQ Show isn’t just about food and beer! Also at the show will be live bands and a dodge ball tournament. Tickets for the show can be purchased in advance by clicking here at a cost of $12. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $15. Three day passes and sampler tickets are also available.

Caroline Ehrhardt

Caroline is a student at the University of Western Ontario currently working towards a degree in Health Promotion. Aside from her academics, Caroline is also a track and field athlete competing at the national and international level in the discipline of triple jump. She aspires to one day represent Canada at the Olympics. Her other interests include reading, writing, and dogs.
