Be sure to check out our events page for a glimpse of what is happening in London this weekend! Listed below are a few of the headline events.

Sunfest

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, be sure to head to Victoria Park and check out Sunfest: Canada’s premier world music festival! Sunfest is non-profit community arts group dedicated to promoting cross-cultural awareness and understanding of the arts. The festival will feature almost 40 different musical performers and be headlined by a performance by Cuba’s LOS VAN VAN. The musical performances will take place at the following times:

Thursday, July 3rd: 5pm to 11pm
Friday, July 4th: noon to 11pm
Saturday, July 5th and Sunday, June 6th: 11:30am to 11pm

There will also be over 100 craft vendors featuring everything from one of a kind cellphone cases to loose leaf teas to tiki masks and everything in between! If you get hungry, there will also be tons of tasty food vendors to choose from.

This event is being held Thursday, July 3rd to Sunday, July 6th from 11am to 11pm each day. Admission to the event is absolutely free and donations are greatly appreciated.

TrailCross London
Trailcross1

TrailCross is a race like no other! This unique event challenges you to channel your primitive instinct and simply beat the person standing next to you. In this event, runners will race through trails and only advance to the next round if they finish in the top half of their heat. It is designed to challenge both the elite runner and beginner through its challenging course yet short, high-intensity runs. TrailCross is being held at Boler Mountain and the first race will go at 9am.

The last day to register is today. The cost is $40 and there is both advanced and beginner categories.

Caroline Ehrhardt

Caroline is a student at the University of Western Ontario currently working towards a degree in Health Promotion. Aside from her academics, Caroline is also a track and field athlete competing at the national and international level in the discipline of triple jump. She aspires to one day represent Canada at the Olympics. Her other interests include reading, writing, and dogs.
