The March Break is finally here! For the vast majority of children and teens, the countdown probably began the first week in January, so let’s make it worth the wait. If you’re leaving our fine city for somewhere warm – enjoy yourself! If you’re sticking around London and your kids aren’t signed up for camps (if you’re scrambling, here is our list), here are some of the highlights of what is going on:
Fleetway is ready to celebrate the March Break all week with bowling from 9:00am to 6:00pm (extended to 2:00am on Friday), the rock wall from 11:00am to 8:00pm (extended to 11:30pm on Friday), and all day fun with glow-golf, billiards, and the Pladium Lite games room.
Westmount has daily fun for the family with the VOCPRI Charity Used Book Sale daily, Salthaven Wildlife Presentations on March 16, 17, and 20th, and The Fossil Guy on March 18 and 19. See the link for times and more information.
Intencity at East Park Golf Gardens is open daily through the March Break from 11:00am to 9:00pm. For only $20 (plus tax) you can have 2 hours of unlimited rock climbing, jungle gym, and bumper cars, plus 16 video game tokens.
The London Children’s Museum has daily excitement throughout the week for visitors! Spiderman Party, Dufflebag Theatre, Mad Science, Kennedy’s Kridders, Ricky Magic, and Avenging Superheroes make this a week your kids will enjoy coming back again and again!
The Palasad North and South both have special hourly bowling rates through the day, late night hours for bowling and laser tag, and bundles for Food and Fun Packs for kids.
The Grand Theatre is hosting a one week Musical Theatre Intensive for high school students. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for all aspiring actors and actresses to be mentored by theatre professionals and hone their skills. See the brochure HERE.
Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo will be at the Western Fair District from March 18th to 21st
The London Knights will be at White Oaks Mall on Monday, March 16 beginning at 1:00pm to sign autographs and meet their fans. You also have a chance to win a London Knights prize pack. On Tuesday, March 17, come to the mall to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Irish Dancing at the Centre Court at 12noon and 1:00pm.
That tale as old as time is told onstage at the Palace Theatre from Wednesday, March 18 to Sunday, March 22. The production is brought to you by LYTE (London Youth Theatre Education). Tickets are $12 each and can be purchased online HERE.
From March 9 to March 22, kids eat free at East Side Marios with the purchase of an adult entree, dine-in only. They also have 12 adult entrees for only $12 each!
The city’s three pools (South London Community Pool, Carling Heights Optimist Community Centre, and Canada Games Aquatic Centre) all have extended their recreational swim times throughout the March Break. For their schedule, see HERE.
The outdoor skating rinks (Covent Garden Market, Victoria Park, and Storybook Gardens) have been closed for the season, but the indoor arenas still have times available for recreational skating over the March Break. See the extended times HERE.
