What a fantastic weekend ahead! The world is beginning to thaw and March Break is starting for those kids in the TVDSB and LDCSB. There’s a lot happening in our fine city this week, beginning with all of this:
It’s the perfect weekend to head out to the sugar bush and sample some of that delicious Canadian maple syrup. There are many in our area to choose from and most are offering a pancake lunch to sample the goods after you see how and where it is made. See HERE for the full list and locations.
There are three games at the Gardens this weekend: Friday night the London Knights take on the Owen Sound Attack at 7:30pm; Saturday the London Lightning take on the Brampton A’s in the first Playoff home game at 7:00pm, then again for the second Playoff game on Sunday at 2:00pm.
Once a month, Lowes hosts a Build and Grow clinic for children in grades 2 to 5 and it is happening this Saturday, March 14 at 10:00am. Register in advance in-store. Registration is FREE, but is limited to the first 50 children. See HERE for more information and Lowes locations.
Home Depot hosts monthly workshop for children ages 4 to 12. Their workshop for March is on Saturday, March 14 from 10:00am to noon. Kids will learn to build sports book ends using a hammer and glue. All materials are provided and the workshop is free; parents are expected to stay and participate with their child(ren). Register online HERE.
The Derby Girls are having a double header this Saturday, March 14 at the Western Fair District, Canada Building. The event begins at 5:00pm and is a family-friendly, licensed event. To buy tickets in advance, go HERE.
