It’s over a month away, but if you’re looking for daytime activities to keep your children busy, here are some of the daycamps that are happening. Registration is currently happening, so do not wait long.

MUSEUM LONDON

Green is Golden: the focus for the week will be on the environment and will be explored through a variety of mediums. The cost is $200/week. Register online HERE.

BOLER MOUNTAIN

Two-hour lessons for each of the five days for skiers ages 6-8 and 9-15, and snowboarders ages 7-10, 11-15. Lessons alone are $150/week; lessons and lift are $240/week; lessons, lift, and rental are $325/week. The rentals and lift tickets are valid for 6 hours. Supervision is only provided during the lesson.

GYM WORLD

Gym World is offering both half-day and full-day options for the week, as well as individual day or half-day options for individual days. Prices range from $30 for one half day to $230 for the full week. There is also before and after care options and pizza lunch option on Friday. Camp is for children 5 years of age and up. PA Day Fun for January 16

PA DAY

This Friday is a PA Day for both the TVDSB and the LDCSB. If you are looking for activities to keep your children busy, here are a few things happening in London:

WHITE OAKS MALL

Mascot Mania is happening at White Oaks Mall from 12noon until 2:00pm this Friday. Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Jake the Neverland Pirate, Tinkerbell, one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Darth Vadar will be hanging out taking pictures and signing autographs at three separate locations throughout the mall.  Parents should visit the Information booth and fill out a ballot to win a private party with your favourite character courtesy of Magical Princess Parties.

LONDON CHILDREN’S MUSEUM

Pre-registration is required for the PA Day camp at the London Children’s Museum this Friday. The camp runs from 8:30am to 5:30am. This Friday’s theme is Boggling Optical Illusions! Let your kids challenge and trick their eyes through optical illusion activities and create their own optical illusion artwork. Programs are designed for children 3-12 years old. SKATING

If you’re looking for a free activity to burn off some of that crazy energy kids seem to accumulate through the day, head downtown to the Covent Garden Market from 8:00am to 7:00pm or to Victoria Park from 10:00am to 10:00pm with your skates!

MUSEUM LONDON

Museum London is also hosting a day camp from 8:30am to 4:30pm. If you have an aspiring artist in your family, this is the place for them to be! After learning about the history of Nature London and viewing unusual specimens, participants will make armatures upon which to build abstract figures or animals. They will also construct 3D animals out of sheets of corrugated cardboard. Register online HERE.

London Bridal Expo 2015

If you or someone you know is getting married soon, head on over to the Western Fair District for the London Bridal Expo 2015. Prizes, fashion shows, free bridal magazines, and all the bells and whistles you can imagine for the wedding of your dreams! Saturday and Sunday, 11:00am to 5:00pm.

New Years Warehouse Sale

If women’s athletic wear, clothing, and accessories for 40-60% retail prices sounds good to you, then head over to 30 Adelaide Street January 8 – 11 for the New Years Warehouse Sale.

Budweiser Gardens

The London Knights are playing the Erie Otters this Friday night at 7:30pm. Come cheer on your gold medal winning Canadian Juniors! If basketball is more of your thing, go see the London Lightning on Saturday at 7:30pm against the Halifax Rainmen or Sunday at 2:00pm versus the Saint John Mill Rats. Go London!

London Children’s Museum

Bring the kids to the London Children’s Museum at 1:00pm Saturday and Sunday to see an Ice Sculpting demonstration. David Traquair from Crystal Ice Carvings will be there to show everyone how Elsa really built that castle!

Museum London

January 11 is Creative Sunday at Museum London. Take a tour of the exhibits and make some of your own beautiful artwork. Meet at 2:00pm for a guided tour, visit the Imagination Station or do a little sketching in one of the galleries from 1:00-3:00pm. While you’re there, stop in for some delicious refreshments in the Rhino Lounge.

Mad Science at White Oaks Mall

Head to the Jalna North Court from 11:00am to 12:30pm to learn about Optical Illusions and again from 1:00pm to 2:30pm for Fun-damental Forces.

Children’s Museum Day Camp

Museum London: A Story of Canadian Art

Museum London has an exciting and educational day planned for children ages 6 through 12, from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Kids will be exploring the museum and getting hands on as they create their own art inspired by Emily Carr, Group of Seven, and David Milne. Cost is $45 per child. Register HERE.

This Weekend in London

It’s Halloween weekend! They’re predicting the start of the cold weather this weekend, so keep warm and keep busy!

Westmount Shopping Centre Halloween

Westmount is celebrating Halloween indoors this Friday night from 5:00-800pm. Trick or Treat where it’s warm and dry! Most stores will be handing out candy while supplies last. This is a great place to take your little ones who aren’t yet ready to keep up with the big kids outside.

Kusterman’s Haunted Trail

Are your kids too old for Trick or Treating? Want to give them a good scare? Head out to Kusterman’s Family Farm for a frightening walk though the stalks and other spooky excitement this Friday, October 31 beginning at 7:00pm. $11/person, rated 14+.

Fright Night 5

Museum London is having their annual Fright Night event on Friday, October 31 at 9:00pm. Advanced tickets are sold out, but 100 tickets will be available at the door for $25, 19+ only. There will be live music, costume contest, Gallery tours, palm reading, photo booth and a candy bar.

Byron Craft Club Christmas Craft Sale

Nothing says “Halloween is over!” like the first Christmas craft sale of the season. If you are ready to compost those pumpkins and start hanging the holly head on down to the Byron Library on Saturday,November 1 from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Admission is free.

Ignite Your Vision

Mompreneurs will want to take part in Ignite Your Vision 2014, hosted by London Mompreneurs at the Lamplighter Inn this Sunday, November 2 from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Tickets are $95/person, which includes breakfast and lunch.
