London Golf Show & Sale 2015


The London Golf Show and Sale is happening this weekend! While golfing may seem like a far off fantasy, this snow IS going to melt away eventually and when that happens, you’ll want to be all ready with your clubs. The Golf Show will have all you need to make sure that happens.

There will be presentations on stage for Golf Tips, Pro Tips, and Junior Golf. There will also be free 30-minute golf lessons for children 4-12 years old (sign up early, limited spaces).

Lifestyle Home Show

The Lifestyle Home Show is coming to the Western Fair Agriplex this weekend! This fantastic three-day event will showcase home improvement ideas, luxury products, landscaping and pools, new home designs and everything you can imagine for your home. Modern, chic, contemporary, sustainable, green, state-of-the-art: whatever words you want to use to describe your home, the inspiration will begin at the Lifestyle Home Show.

The Details

The show opens Friday, January 30 from 12pm until 9pm; Saturday, January 31 from 10am to 8pm; and Sunday, February 1 from 11am to 5pm

Admission is $11, seniors (65+) $9, children 12 and under are free.

London Wine & Food Show


This weekend is the 10th annual London Wine & Food Show at the Western Fair District, Agriplex Building. This three-day show combines wine from wineries across Ontario with delicious food from local restaurants. It’s not just for wine-lovers though, there will also be new areas featuring craft beers, spirits and liquors.

Thursday, January 15

In honour of the 10th anniversary, you can kick off the event with $10 admission tickets when purchased in advance for Thursday night. The doors are open from 5:00pm to 10:30pm. Highlights for Thursday evening include a Fire Fighter Fashion Show at 8:00pm and a String Quartet at 7:00 and 9:00pm.

Friday, January 16

The Wine Ladies will be there on Friday night at 6:00pm and 8:00pm with an interactive Wine and Chocolate demonstration and there will be a Nova Vita Fashion Show at 7:00pm. Stick around for a lesson in making sushi from scratch from Wonder Sushi at 9:00pm. The night kicks off at 5:00pm and the doors close at 10:30pm.

The London Knights are playing the Erie Otters this Friday night at 7:30pm. Come cheer on your gold medal winning Canadian Juniors! January 11 is Creative Sunday at Museum London. Take a tour of the exhibits and make some of your own beautiful artwork. Meet at 2:00pm for a guided tour, visit the Imagination Station or do a little sketching in one of the galleries from 1:00-3:00pm. Victoria Park is all lit up and ready for the big annual, FREE, outdoor event. Bring the kids to skate on the rink, visit with Queen Elsa and Princess Anna from My Perfect Princess Party, watch some great musical performances, have some hot chocolate and then watch a special firework show at 9pm before sending them home. For the grown-ups, the big party starts after the early fireworks with Hangar 18 and Platinum Blonde hitting the band shell. A great fireworks display over City Hall will finish off the night and welcome in 2015.

New Year’s Eve Celebration at the Aeolian Hall

The Aeolian Hall is having their annual celebration to ring in the New Year. This catered event begins at 8:00pm, doors opening at 7:00pm. New Year’s Eve in the District 

The Western Fair District has three different parties going on to welcome in 2015. If you feel like dancing, put on your party dress and join the 80′s Dance Party in the Carousel Room. It begins with a prime rib buffet dinner from 7:00 to 9:00pm, followed by dancing from 9:00 to 1:00am. There will be party favours and champagne at midnight. Yuk Yuk’s will have you laughing into 2015! The prime rib buffet dinner will be served from 8:30 to 10:00pm followed by a comedy show from 10:00 to midnight. Tickets are $90 per person and can be purchased online HERE.

German Canadian Club

The German Canadian Club is having a great celebration with options for dinner or just the party. Dinner will be served from 6:00 to 8:00pm with reservations and the big party begins at 8:00pm with a light buffet, dancing, and champagne at midnight. Hilton New Year’s Eve Party

The Hilton Hotel is holding their 10th Anniversary New Year’s Eve Party. This sell out event begins with dinner in the dining room and then moves over to the Ballroom for the big party. The Penthouse at London Music Hall is hosting an exclusive, formal event for New Year’s Eve. The doors open at 9:00pm for this 19+ event.
